Monochromatic

Even if you are not a Harry Potter fan, you can still appreciate these keys from the kit Magic Inside all of Us. There is something magical about them. I'm pretty sure it's the wings added to an object, an object that can hold so many meanings. All Harry had to do was catch one!

Here you can see how the Tim Holtz transparent wings pop up off of the ATC. I used TH Vintage Photo ink to distress the edges and to also stamp the background keys. A splash is clear glitter paint added a little sparkle to "all that brownness."

Now this next project is not monochromatic at all. It was supposed to be but the background was screaming to be a sky. This, my fellow Uni's is a snitch. First I drew it in pencil and then I water-colored it using Jane Davenport watercolors. After adding the Sentiment, I added some detail on the wings with an ink pen. So for Christmas I got an Amazon gift card. I happened to run across a Harry Potter wax seal set. Gold wax, round seal = a perfect snitch shape if you ask me....well not really but this is art right? lol

Here is the one from the movie that Harry had to seek in order to win the quidditch match;
     A team sport played while straddling broomsticks, in which goals are scored by throwing a ball through any of                                                        three hoops fixed at either end of the field.

I had these envelopes that seemed perfect to send to my ATC pals. But they needed something. TH vintage photo added some age and then I stamped "Hedwig",Owl See You in white craft ink. I added an outline to him and then put him in his hand drawn cage.

  All students are required to take one of three animals to Hogwarts; A cat, toad, or owl. Below you can see what the real Hedwid looks like.

I added Harry's footsteps to the back of the envelope just like the marauder's map.. Something Magical kit has many Harry Potter stamps like the glasses seen above, a tiny owl, a lightening bolt etc.

My last winner is Busy Faith who said "very cool cards". Please email me at jeaniehays00@yahoo.com to claim you prize.

I'm the last stop on the hop! I hope you had fun this month.
