This card was inspired by hunting. I needed a card for my husband's hunting buddy. I imagined what it must look like while tucked into a tree and seeing a big trophy buck. Unity's Autumn Grunge leaves were perfect for this! The deer is from A Joyous Season.
On the inside I wrote,"You survived another year hunting season! Happy birthday!"
Shhhhh...don't tell my husband but more hunting = more craft time for me. He thinks I'm cleaning or doing laundry or something. Ha!
I love trying to stamp on random things. This is a wooden coaster found at A.C. Moore. I used an orange and gray chalk paint as a base. The paints we're around $1 each and take stazon ink very well. I will seal it with a chalk paint spray sealer later when I have time.
I just couldn't get enough of that fall feeling so I made one more card.
Gold embossing of the leaves allowed me to watercolor (Jane Davenport watercolors) right over top of it in whimsical way. My colors were inspired by the vision of: from tree to sky to ground.
I used Tim Holtz tissue wrap to emboss the sentiment (from Maple Girl) on. Carefully ripping around it added to the rustic feel while leaving the gold sentiment still elegant. The translucent gold ribbon ties it all together.
I hope you enjoyed my fall creations! Leave a comment on each blog and you'll be entered into a random drawing to win a Unity Stamp from my own stash! Also, there are 2 other giveaways on the other blogs! Winner will be announced on next months post and must be claimed within 2 weeks.
