Inspired By Thermoses

Inspired By Thermoses

Thermoses are everything warm and cozy!

I didn't have any thermos stamps so I hand drew with a zig marker my own thermoses inspired by the cue picture above. Here is my take on cozy Thermoses! The sentiment is Unity Snowman to Go.  I hope you like it.

I'm going to send this to a friend Who needs to stay warm, feel cozy and heal.

Inspired By Challenge Fall Beauty

Inspired By Fall Beauty

Leaves Fall and squirrels get busy hoarding acorns for the winter!

I used some older Unity leaf stamps from an unknown set. The squirrel is from a semi-recent Unity SMAK kit.

The squirrel is sitting on top of some crinkled leaves made out of some yellowish packing paper from my chicken coop I got this spring. ...a hoarder of strange paper I may be.

I hope you've enjoyed my little feisty squirrel in the leaves.Leave a comment and then play along by clicking on the pic below.

Growing In Unity Group Hop

Growing In Unity Group Hop

The July & Aug 2018 GIU gals came together and create an awesome hop for you to enjoy!

Maple Girl strolls along the countryside passing a tree from the September Kit Of the Month that has lost almost all of its beautiful leaves. She is headed towards the pumpkin patch or maybe to the farm house to have a cup of hot apple cider I'm sure.

I embossed each stamped image in black on watercolor paper. For the background with the tree I did a wash and then used Jane Davenport watercolors. I went over some areas to brighten up or add detail with Arteza brush pens. For Maple Girl I used only the Arteza pens. Faber Castell Texture Gems gave her a necklace and some boot buckles. The sentiment is from Gracielle's Friends Like You.

I hope you've enjoyed your stop

Friends of Unity Blog Hop October Leaves

Friends of Unity Blog Hop
October Leaves
It's my favorite time of year!

Fall leaves...yes please!

This card was inspired by hunting. I needed a card for my husband's hunting buddy. I imagined what it must look like while tucked into a tree and seeing a big trophy buck. Unity's Autumn Grunge leaves were perfect for this! The deer is from A Joyous Season.

On the inside I wrote,"You survived another year hunting season! Happy birthday!"

Shhhhh...don't tell my husband but more hunting = more craft time for me. He thinks I'm cleaning or doing laundry or something. Ha!

I love trying to stamp on random things. This is a wooden coaster found at A.C. Moore. I used an orange and gray chalk paint as a base. The paints we're around $1 each and take stazon ink very well. I will seal it with a chalk paint spray sealer later when I have time.

I just couldn't get enough of that fall feeling so I made one more card.

Gold embossing of the leaves allowed me to watercolor (Jane Davenport watercolors) right over top of it in whimsical way. My colors were inspired by the vision of: from tree to sky to ground.

I used Tim Holtz tissue wrap to emboss the sentiment (from Maple Girl) on. Carefully ripping around it added to the rustic feel while leaving the gold sentiment still elegant. The translucent gold ribbon ties it all together.

I hope you enjoyed my fall creations! Leave a comment on each blog and you'll be entered into a random drawing to win a Unity Stamp from my own stash! Also, there are 2 other giveaways on the other blogs! Winner will be announced on next months post and must be claimed within 2 weeks.
