The que this month is All is Calm but for some reason All is Cozy kept creeping into my head. So.. Coziness was my inspiration for my cards. Being able to cozy up is pretty much what gets me through winter.. well... besides crafting.

For my 1st card I used A "Bowl" Lotta Love and filled them with coffee by paper piecing it all together. Background/grounding stamp is Ikat Love. Sentiment is from Snowman To Go. I could argue that coffee makes me calm? Maybe.. well it does make me sane anyways. lol. Tenia Nelson was an inspiration to me for the creation of this card. Love love her style. My favorite part of this card is the glitter added to the spoon to look like sugar.

Kit of the Month by Angie Blom, Oct 2018 paired with Brutus Monroe's Barn Wall. My idea here was to create a rustic feel. I wanted the image to look like it was painted right onto the wood. Tim Holtz distress ink in Walnut Stain make the edges look more rustic and defined. Prisma colored pencils were great to use on the kraft paper. The vision is almost what I had in my head...almost. I'm ok with it. Sometimes you just gotta try. Sometimes you just stay calm and go with it.

My last card does really bring a sense of peace and calmness. Here we go again with the kraft paper. It just feels so warm to me I can't help but use it. Distress ink is all over the place here. This Simply Lovely Birdie is totally an overlooked stamp! It is an amazing work of art by Tierra Jackson. The die used is Gina Marie. Again I colored with Prisma pencils.

Have you ever wondered why people set up bird feeders and love to just watch them? When I was younger I thought...that stuff is for old people. yeah... I just said that. Well,... I guess I'm old now because I have a bird feeder set up and I love to watch chickadee's, cardinals and other birds visit. They only stop for a moment and then in a flash they are gone. I'm left with a feeling of gratitude after one of these lovelies pays me a visit. So tell me... do you have a feeder set up?

I hope you enjoyed viewing my simple Calm Cozy cards! Keep hopping and I wish you much luck with winning. Merry Christmas! God Bless you!

The details on the cozy coffee card are super fun. The paper piecing and glitter really give it an extra touch.

  33. Haha, I had to laugh at your "old people" comment about bird feeders because that's exactly how I used to think. And yes, now we have TWO bird feeders and I love watching them come every day. Your cards are so beautiful, with the coffee paper-pieced one being my favorite.

And I do the same...I'll watch birds stop for a moment and feel gratitude that they stopped by and touched my soul. Just wonderful cards. Thank you for the inspiration! Congratulations on 2yrs! Happy Holidays!
